Author Visits

Shelley loves visiting schools and sharing her experiences as an Author and Illustrator!

Shelley will inspire students to engage their imagination for writing, reading, as well as illustration, and she will share tips on how to tap into their own limitless creativity that will help them in personal and long-lasting ways with an Author Visit!

About the Presentations:

Shelley offers inspiring presentations tailored to a specific audience, either virtually, or by visiting your school for an in-person session. She has three different options to choose from (Illustration, Writing, and Fantasy World Building). She can also focus on different areas of writing if that is your preference, such as; plot, antagonist, voice, POV and character development, for example. Many authors are choosing the self-publishing route and Shelley has experience as an indie publisher on Amazon (KDP). She is also a seasoned graphic designer and can share this experience with the students as well. See booking details below.

VIRTUAL AUTHOR VISIT (Zoom):

• Grades 5-7
• Single Class – $100
• Multiple Classes or Auditorium – $200
• All sessions are done on Zoom

Fantasy World Option

• My life as Author & Illustrator and where I get my ideas from
• How I created the fantasy world for my novel (world building)
• Map Drawing Demo (can be a draw along as well for the students)
• Q & A

IN-PERSON AUTHOR VISIT:

• Grades 5-7
• I offer 2-3 presentations per day, plus book signings
• $350 per day
• 50 minute sessions + book signings (I offer a 15% discount on books to schools)

EQUIPMENT:

• Please provide the following equipment for in-person visits if possible:
• Screen and projector, easel and paper for drawing, table or utility cart for laptop, microphone, extension cords to reach electrical outlets and a table and chair.

Virtual Author Visit

Hi Shelley,
