I received a B.A. in Illustration (Magna Cum Laude) from Rowan University in Glassboro NJ. I originally started out wanting to be a Wildlife Artist but decided to become a Graphic Designer instead. Security won out. I did end up with some really nice drawings that are hanging on my wall though. It wasn’t until I figured out what I really wanted to be when I grew up a decade later, that I came up with the idea of incorporating both writing and illustration. How I arrived at this decision is a story in itself and will be in my memoir when I get around to writing it.

Hands down, my favorite subject matter is fantasy and wildlife, but I also like drawing people and nature. I work mostly in acrylics or pencil, but do enjoy other mediums such as, watercolor, colored pencil, pen and ink, pastel and mixed media. I like oil paints but they are too smelly, toxic (varnish and turpentine) and take too long to dry. I’m also pretty handy when it comes to digital illustration. Currently, my focus has been on illustrating my own novel (Oghalon W.I.P.) using pencil for the interior illustrations (see the Noz illustration below).
